going home outfit

those of you who have spoken to me in the past few weeks know that i'm currently obsessed with finding the perfect "going home" outfit for the baby. i found this hat on etsy and, i must admit, i'm kind of fixated on it. i just feel like $30 is a lot for a little tiny hat...

interesting website

the above collage found on the site illustrates heteronormativity in women's magazines. it's interesting that all of these articles are guy-centric when the magazine is supposedly written for females.

as a sociology undergrad, i'm always interested in sociological commentary. i actually found this site on facebook, but you can find it here. it's called "sociological images." some of the pieces are more interesting than others, but it's definitely worth a perusal.

just in time for fall...

i love fall weather. it means jean jackets, scarves, tights, and boots. since i'm rather rotund this fall, clothing shopping has become less fun. i've been focusing instead on scarves because you can wear them no matter what size you are! the blog sfgirlbybay featured these lovely scarves. if i had an extra $30, i would DEFINITELY buy this scarf in mustard.

i love this.

i love this combination of a tulip table with the orange bertoia chairs. i think it would go nicely with the rest of my house. too bad it's expensive...i'll be happy with the one bertoia chair i found at a flea market:).
